Iranian film ‘Damascus Time’ has been slated to be presented at the film market of the Berlin International Film Festival in Germany.
Ebrahim Hatamikia’s ‘Damascus Time’ (formerly known as In the Levant Time) is to have the international premier at the Berlinale film market on February 16.
The film focuses on security threat by terrorists when an Iranian plane, conveying humanitarian aids to Syria, is challenged in Damascus Airport.
Popular Iranian actors such as Babak Hamidiyan and Hadi Hejazifar as well as a number of actors from Syria and Lebanon star in the movie.
‘Damascus Time’ has recently managed to grab some awards, including Crystal Simorgh for Best Director, at the latest edition of the Fajr Film Festival.
Founded in 1951, the Berlin International Film Festival is one of the world’s leading film events which is held in Germany and is celebrated annually in February.
The 68th edition of the Berlinale will run in the German city on February 15-25, 2018.
